My Case Study.

Hi everyone,

I hope you all guys are spending a great time on this weekend, but today it's a rainy day,,

Our team case study was about National Geographic. It was a fun source, but on the other hand, it is included various serious contents which we have to make the earth good condition.  National Geographic uses 7 Social Media mediums : Facebook, My space, You tube, Twitter, Flickr, Blogging, and Widgets to provide their information

As we can guess, FB is the best organized social network of them I felt because it includes the general whole contents and segments, such as pictures, posting, and good interaction. Besides, I get used to using it is one of the reasons. Even though Fb is the best social network for me in Nat Geo's, some of the others are also good systematized. For example, Flickr is very simple to understand their contents. They focus on pictures. They provide each subject, and the each subject has a lot of nature photos is likely to be more fun than others.  One more example, Widgets, their segments are mainly animals, environments, and green guide. I think it deals with a more serious themes compare to others. Generally, their contents are what is going on in the earth, and they show its situation on their videos more than pictures. It's also well organized. As a result, I thought each social media has some good points and features, therefore, it's not bad to have some social media tools for any organization because how we think of each social media medium depends on me and you!!

    Hi Ken,

    I have used National Geographic once for an essay about the environment - it is an interesting place to find good information about this topic. However, I didn't know since your case study, that they are using social media such as Facebook or Twitter. Do you think they are using social media efficiently?

    Hi Gwen,

    You have used Nat Geo for your essay. Good!
    I also did about a similar topic in past times.

    I didn't know either that they have any social network..
    I might be able to say they are using FB efficiently, but I don't know about
    others exactly. Maybe not really compare to FB, so it means it is easier to
    use FB for even companies!

    The case study was a really much work! Wasn't it?

    Do they need all of them?
    Or let’s put it this way.
    Are they able to focus on all of them?
    I think, no!
    They should just focus on one or two.
    They really have good things on their HP, so linking to HP would be enough.

    I hope someday they will do better.

    Yes, too much work & little time to do a case study..
    In my opinion, some of them I don't need because they are not able to focus on them.

    If they cannot focus on all of them, they might have to drop some of them.
    I don't know it exactly because it's up to you.

    Their HP is very well organized, actually it's enough for me.

    Maybe they are struggling with the current trends,,

    I think for Nat Geo blogging is definitely the better way to go since they do not really interact with their audience that much as you would expect on site like facebook.

    They might even consider using a site like tumblr which is something like a cross between facebook and twitter.
